Creature — Elf Scout
Whenever you scry, this creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn and can't be blocked this turn. This ability triggers only once each turn.

Nimrodel Watcher is an efficient two-mana creature that rewards you for engaging with scry effects, one of blue's signature mechanics. This 2/1 Elf Scout creates a powerful synergy loop where each scry trigger grants it evasion and a temporary power boost, enabling consistent damage output while you're manipulating your library. The once-per-turn limitation ensures the card remains balanced while still providing meaningful pressure, especially in decks that naturally incorporate multiple scry effects throughout a turn. This makes it particularly valuable in spell-slinging decks that feature cards like Consider, Murktide decks with subtle scry components, or any strategy built around cantrips and library manipulation. From a deckbuilding perspective, Nimrodel Watcher fits seamlessly into tempo and control strategies that already want to include scry effects for card advantage and consistency. In Modern and Legacy, it pairs excellently with efficient scry spells and control shells that benefit from the added clock pressure. The creature is also playable in Commander decks built around scry themes or blue-based tempo strategies where it provides both velocity and evasion. Its reasonable mana cost and straightforward power level make it accessible across multiple formats, from casual Brawl to competitive Modern, giving players flexibility in where they deploy it. Pauper players especially appreciate its power level relative to the format's card pool.
