TCG Playability
Artifact — Vehicle
This Vehicle has haste as long as you control a Mount. Whenever this Vehicle attacks, look at the top card of your library. If it's a land card, you may put it onto the battlefield tapped. Crew 2 (Tap any number of creatures you control with total power 2 or more: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.)
Mobile Homestead is a versatile two-mana artifact vehicle that brings both aggressive pressure and consistent mana acceleration to creature-based strategies across multiple formats. Its 3/3 body with a reasonable crew cost of 2 makes it an efficient threat that doesn't require significant setup, while its conditional haste ability incentivizes building around Mounts, creating natural synergies with Outlaws of Thunder Junction's mount-themed creatures. The true power of this card lies in its triggered ability: every time the vehicle attacks, you're effectively digging into your deck and depositing lands directly onto the battlefield. This passive mana ramp compounds turn after turn, allowing you to naturally advance your mana base while applying board pressure simultaneously. The ability to put lands in tapped keeps it balanced at this mana cost, but in a dedicated mana-acceleration strategy, turning your attacks into land drops provides tremendous value over the course of a game. Mobile Homestead slots perfectly into creature-focused green and multicolor decks that already play creatures capable of crewing the vehicle. It's particularly strong in limited formats and casual commander decks where the land acceleration has maximum impact, but it also sees consideration in constructed formats like Pioneer and Modern as a utility piece in creature-heavy shells. Players seeking an efficient way to accelerate mana while maintaining board presence should seriously consider this card, especially in decks already committed to playing creatures and small creatures that enable quick crew activation.
