Murders at Karlov Manor mythic

Legendary Planeswalker — Kaya

Whenever one or more creatures you control and/or creature cards in your graveyard are put into exile, you may choose a creature card from among them. Until end of turn, target token you control becomes a copy of it, except it has flying. +2: Surveil 2, then exile a card from a graveyard. +1: Create a 1/1 white and black Spirit creature token with flying. −2: Exile target creature you control. For each other player, exile up to one target creature that player controls.

Strategy & Gameplay

Kaya, Spirits' Justice from the March of the Machine set represents a versatile planeswalker that bridges token strategies with exile synergies, making it an attractive option for players building around Spirit tokens or graveyard-focused strategies. This four-mana planeswalker in white-black offers multiple gameplay paths depending on your deck's construction and the current game state. The card's primary ability creates interesting synergies with any deck that generates tokens or regularly exiles creatures, rewarding you for existing mechanics rather than requiring additional setup. The plus-two ability surveil two into exile, which provides card selection while feeding your graveyard or enabling exile-based strategies like those found in various constructed formats. The plus-one offers consistent token generation, creating flying 1/1 spirits that contribute to a growing board presence while fueling your exile themes. The minus-two is particularly powerful, allowing you to remove a creature of your own while also affecting opponents' boards, making it a flexible tool for both offensive and defensive situations. This planeswalker excels in token-heavy decks, especially those pairing Orzhov colors for maximum flexibility. Players pursuing Spirit-themed strategies will appreciate the natural synergy, while those running exile-based mechanics in Pioneer, Modern, or Commander formats will find Kaya's toolkit compelling. The card's versatility across multiple loyalty abilities means you're rarely stuck with a useless option, and the ability to boost your tokens into more threatening copies makes it particularly valuable in games where board presence determines victory. Whether you're playing Constructed formats like Standard or Pioneer, or diving into Commander, Kaya, Spirits' Justice offers the kind of strategic depth and flexibility that rewards careful piloting.
