Artifact — Vehicle
When this Vehicle enters, return up to one other target nonland permanent to its owner's hand. Exhaust — Waterbend {3}: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature. Put three +1/+1 counters on it. (While paying a waterbend cost, you can tap your artifacts and creatures to help. Each one pays for {1}. Activate each exhaust ability only once.)
Invasion Submersible is a versatile blue artifact vehicle from The Lost Archives that combines tempo advantages with scaling threats, making it an excellent addition to control decks, tempo shells, and any blue-based strategy that values flexible interaction. Upon entering the battlefield, this card immediately generates value by returning up to one other nonland permanent to its owner's hand, providing instant tempo disruption that can reset threatening creatures, planeswalkers, or problematic enchantments while costing only three mana total. The vehicle's waterbend ability offers incredible flexibility in the mid to late game, allowing you to convert excess mana and tapped resources into an evasive threat by paying three generic mana to turn Invasion Submersible into an artifact creature with three +1/+1 counters, effectively creating a 3/3 flyer or unblockable threat depending on your game state. The exhaust mechanic perfectly enables this strategy by letting you tap your artifacts and creatures to reduce the activation cost, which means players with established board positions can often activate this ability for minimal additional investment. This card fits seamlessly into Azorius control decks, mono-blue tempo strategies, and Izzet spellslinger shells where the bouncing effect synergizes with disruption and card advantage engines. With legality across Standard, Pioneer, Modern, Legacy, Vintage, Commander, and multiple other formats, Invasion Submersible offers long-term playability and investment value while providing exactly the kind of efficient, modal effect that competitive and casual players both appreciate.
