From Father to Son

Final Fantasy rare

Sorcery

Search your library for a Vehicle card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. If this spell was cast from a graveyard, put that card onto the battlefield instead. Then shuffle. Flashback {4}{W}{W}{W} (You may cast this card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. Then exile it.)

Strategy & Gameplay

From Father to Son is a versatile white sorcery that serves as both a tutor and a reanimation effect for Vehicle strategies across multiple formats. This single white mana spell searches your library for any Vehicle card and puts it directly into your hand, providing consistent access to your deck's key pieces whether you're assembling a Vehicles-focused strategy or simply need to find a specific Vehicle utility card. What makes this card particularly powerful is its flashback capability at {4}{W}{W}, which allows you to cast it from your graveyard and instead put the Vehicle onto the battlefield immediately rather than just tutoring it. This transforms the card into a repeatable source of acceleration and threat deployment, as you can effectively cast it twice over the course of a game. The card's efficiency and flexibility make it an excellent inclusion in any Vehicle-centric archetype, from aggressive Vehicle decks in Standard and Pioneer to more controlling shells in Modern and Commander that use Vehicles as part of a larger strategic plan. The flashback cost, while substantial, provides incredible value in longer games where resources have accumulated, essentially giving you a second tutoring effect that also cheats the Vehicle into play. Players should prioritize this card for any deck that runs eight or more Vehicles, as the consistency of finding the right piece at the right time dramatically improves your deck's performance. Its legality across Standard, Pioneer, Modern, Commander, and most eternal formats ensures it remains a relevant tool for competitive and casual play alike.
