Dream Harvest

Lorwyn Eclipsed rare

Sorcery

Each opponent exiles cards from the top of their library until they have exiled cards with total mana value 5 or greater this way. Until end of turn, you may cast cards exiled this way without paying their mana costs.

Faeries swarm to snoring boggarts like vultures to rotting meat.

Strategy & Gameplay

Dream Harvest is a powerful blue-black sorcery that offers both disruption and card advantage in a single package, making it an excellent inclusion for players looking to generate value while limiting their opponents' resources. The card functions as both a mill effect and a temporary hand extension, exiling cards from each opponent's library until five or more total mana value is reached, then allowing you to cast any of those exiled cards for free until the end of turn. This creates explosive turns where you can deploy multiple threats without spending mana, effectively doubling your available resources on the turn you cast it. The card particularly shines in blue-black control and tempo strategies where the ability to generate free spells while disrupting opponents' libraries synergizes perfectly with mill-focused game plans. In Pioneer and Modern, Dream Harvest fits naturally into Dimir (blue-black) shells that already run cards like Fell Stinger and other mill synergies, providing both the milling component and the payoff for milling strategies. Even in formats like Standard and Historic, the card's flexibility makes it valuable across multiple archetypes, from tempo decks seeking mana efficiency to control decks needing mid-game momentum swings. The relatively high mana cost of seven is offset by the potential to cast multiple high-value spells for free, and the fact that it hits each opponent separately makes it particularly strong in multiplayer formats like Commander and Brawl. Players seeking a card that generates advantage while disrupting opponents' decks will find Dream Harvest an exceptional strategic tool that rewards careful deckbuilding and sequencing.
