Legendary Creature — Human Warrior
Whenever Boromir enters or attacks, look at the top six cards of your library. You may reveal a Human or artifact card from among them and put it into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.
"Long have I wandered by roads forgotten, seeking the house of Elrond."
Boromir, Gondor's Hope is a versatile blue-white legendary creature that brings consistent card advantage and library manipulation to multiple competitive and casual formats. This three-mana 3/4 body is efficiently costed for its power level, but the true value lies in its triggered ability that activates whenever it enters the battlefield or attacks. The ability to dig six cards deep into your library and selectively put either a Human or artifact directly into your hand creates a powerful tutoring effect that scales throughout the game. Each attack triggers the ability again, meaning Boromir can generate significant card advantage over multiple turns while simultaneously filling your graveyard with unwanted cards placed on the bottom of your library. The card fits naturally into several established deck archetypes across different formats. In Commander, particularly in blue-white control or artifact-focused strategies, Boromir serves as both a reasonable threat and a repeatable tutor for key pieces like Trinket Mage targets or Human utility creatures. In Legacy and Vintage, the card could slot into Humans decks that appreciate the evasion tutoring, or into artifact-centric strategies that benefit from consistent piece assembly. The Human typing opens synergies with creature-focused strategies while the artifact clause provides flexibility. With solid defensive stats and an evasive ability that doesn't require combat damage, Boromir demands respect from opponents while providing the card selection and consistency that serious Magic players value when building optimized decks.
