Creature — Sloth Beast
Lifelink (Damage dealt by this creature also causes you to gain that much life.)
Even Firebenders hate fire ants, so the Sun Warriors ensure the sloths are free to eat their fill.
Aardvark Sloth is a solid limited and casual staple that provides exactly what white creature decks need in the early-to-mid game — a reasonable body with life gain attached. As a 3/3 lifelink creature for four mana, it trades favorably with most early threats while padding your life total with each attack or block. In draft and sealed formats, lifelink creatures are premium picks in attrition-based matchups, allowing you to stabilize against aggro while maintaining board presence. For Commander, the Sloth finds a home in lifegain-matters strategies led by commanders like Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn or Heliod, Sun-Crowned, where each point of life gained can trigger additional synergies. While not a constructed powerhouse, its combination of decent stats and consistent life gain makes it a reliable role-player across casual formats.
